Band of Brothers God has given men particular responsibility for leadership in their homes, in the church, and in His kingdom. Great men of faith - biblical characters such as Joshua, David, Elijah and Paul, and "giants" of the modern church have recognised the crucial importance of having a band of brothers around us. With busier and busier lives, and more responsibilities placed upon us than ever before, guys really need to know who is watching their back.
At the core is our belief that no man is an island. Life is a lot more enjoyable and purposeful when we do it with brothers; God made us that way.
At the Beacon our men's ministry involves Men's weekends away where extended spiritual input is balanced with tomfoolery and general hanging out, and evening/breakfast events.
Beyond that there are many informal rounds of golf, squash games, trips to gigs, films, curries, and five a side football matches. We even have some guys who just like burning stuff...! Inspire As ladies of the Beacon Church we want to support and encourage each other, equip and enable one another to grow more like Jesus!
We do this through various ways, including: Bible studies and prayer meetings in peoples homes (day or evening). We hold worship and teaching evenings now and again throughout the term. These are great times to fellowship together whilst enjoying the grace, peace and love of God. Contact us for more information.
We host “Ladies Days Away” once or twice a year. Again, these are great opportunities to relax, leave the kids at home and enjoy time with God and each other. We also aim to host a ladies weekend away for extended fellowship and fun, with good Bible teaching, worship and ministry.
We look forward to you joining us.
