The church runs two weekly toddler groups, Smarties on the Old Dean estate in Camberley, and Sunbeams at Hawley Leisure Centre. Both of these groups meet on a Thursday.

Sunbeams

Our aim is to run a fun, friendly group catering for children from 0-5.  We try to provide a diverse range of good quality activities giving opportunities for parent/carer to interact with their children.  As parents, we want to be able to support each other through the ups and downs of parenting and life in general.

Sunbeams is held during term-time from 10.00-11.30am on Thursday mornings at Hawley Leisure Centre, Hawley. 

Cost is £1.50 per "family" (bargain!!)  This includes all activities, refreshments (cakes, tea and fresh fairtrade coffee).  Refreshments are served from 10.00-10.45am. 

The session starts with free play and the craft activity which runs until 11.00am.  We put all the toys away together and encourage the children to be involved with this as well.  Then we sit down and sing songs and listen to a story.  We hope you find a warm welcome and look forward to seeing you.

SMARTIES

Sociable Mothers And Rowdy Toddlers In Exciting Surroundings

Our aim is for parents and toddlers to be able to meet new friends and have a fun time.  As well as this we know that being parents, whilst very rewarding, can be hard work, and so as a group we aim to support each other through the ups and downs.  Having someone to talk to and share experiences can make all the difference.

The sessions are very relaxed, there are activities throughout the morning that we encourage you to do with your children, these include craft, story time and singing as well as free play time.  We also have books available to borrow on family matters. Each term we have a theme (e.g. on the Farm) which we try to reflect in the craft and story each week.

We do operate a waiting list system so please contact us first if you would like to come, or pop in for a ‘trial week’ anytime.  If you do not attend for three successive weeks, we will contact you to check whether you want to keep your place. Regular attendees may be asked to help out with some of the jobs on the rota.

Please remember that you are responsible for your own children, so ensure that they are playing safely and co-operating with other children. There is a charge of 50p per parent and toddler, plus 25p per extra child over 1 year old.  This money is used in the general running and upkeep of the group and includes all activities & refreshments.
